Day 30, 31, 32 – Jul 28, 29, 30 2017

Day 30, Friday – Did not sleep that well but had a pretty good day. Still working on getting rid of the constipation but making good progress. Spent some more time today doing artwork and walking around a bit.

Day 31, Saturday – Slept a whole 6 hrs without waking up. Yaaaaahoooooo!!!! All 3 of us feeling rested. Woke up early, spent some time in the hot tub and then down for breakfast. First day after 5 weeks she actually laughed out loud and acted silly making funny faces. Hailey didi had come to visit so she spent the day with her coloring and playing games. She had a really good day and was sad to see her leave.

Day 32, Sunday – Had a another good night of sleep. She beat her constipation problem today. It was a day full of treats. Had a yummy breakfast of pancakes, went out with her friends Anvita, Roma and Racheyta to Das Creamery for ice cream and then headed back home and spent the next couple hrs coloring and watching some tv. Evening was a treat too since she got to eat pizza for dinner.

Day 29, Jul 27, 2017-Final Day of Phase 1

Final day of phase 1 – Thursday, 3 cheers for the little one who stayed strong and braved the excruciating pain. Yesterday was last day of steroids for this phase. It was a loooooong 28 day stretch of steroids twice a day. Aanya will see this steroid again through the course of the treatment but for not more than 5 days at a time. Only meds she is on till phase 2 starts is maintenance meds.

The side effects of this steroid should start wearing off over the next few days and we will see our little Angel return to her normal self. She has lost most of her hair and has a rounder face (side effect of the steroid but will come back to normal over the next few weeks).

Last night was miserable with next to no sleep since she was not supposed to eat or drink after midnight due to the test in the morn.

They did bone marrow aspiration and a spinal tap this morning and final detailed reports would come in sometime mid next week. Anxiously await those results. Phase 2 course of action depends on this report and is expected to start sometime late next week.

Her blood work today was good. ANC 1660 normal min is 1500, so awesome progress. Platelet 190 normal min 150, again excellent. First time in a month we are seeing it within normal range. Doc says bone marrow is working fine. Outside of this she has had a fairly decent day. Not much of an ache, still cranky, hungry all the time, but sitting n more involved in her artwork activity. Hoping for a good nights sleep.

Was given calming meds as we got to the hospital early for the bone marrow and spinal tap. Result is this cute smile.
	Post procedure you still see the happy look since she now has food in front of her.

Day 28, Jul 26, 2017

Wednesday, did not sleep well last night. Tummy ache kept her up, looks like constipation may be back. All thru the day gave miralax and prune juice and she settled a bit. Has just fallen asleep. No food water now till after the test tomorrow. Have prepped her for no food now gotta keep fingers crossed n Hope she stays ok. Big day tomorrow, we go in for bone marrow test. Praying hard for remission.

Day 27

Tuesday, was not bad. Tummy did ache a bit but not too bad. Gave miralax and prune juice. Did a little more artwork and ate frequently and outside of that a regular day.

Day 26

Monday, One of the best days . Had a tummy ache so gave oxy in the morn. Thereafter, no probs. Ate, pooped, sat up n did art for sometime, Is working on bday gifts n cards for mom. Was really good to see her in her groove. We are going to have to make her walk more n prolly do some physical therapy since leg muscles have gone weak. Fell asleep at 10 today n was about to start texting the update at 11.30 when she woke up for another small meal. Eaten n fallen asleep again.

Day 24

Saturday, was a fairly decent day. Tummy ache seems to have reduced a lot. Now it seems most of her agitation n discomfort is steroids and chemo related. 5 more days of steroids for this phase. Anxiously waiting for the steroidal side effects to wear off n see our little angel again. . Aanya has fallen asleep. Going to crash now too. Gn.

Day 23

Fri, another status quo day, tummy still aches but prolly a wee bit less. Rest of the body hurts thou. Prolly the side effect of chemo. Still disinterested. Still grumpy. Outside of that all ok. Goodnight.

Day 22

Thur, yeaaaaa, last chemo today for phase 1. Her bloodwork has shown good progress. Platelets up to 135 n ANC upto 630. Doc was pleased. Next appt next Thur. They will do spinal tap n bone marrow.

Wednesday, was a status quo Day, nothing good nothing bad. Nothing good because her tummy ache still continues n nothing bad since she is eating pooping n resting (well, at least trying to) with some tv time thru the day. Sleeping ok as usual with awaking a couple times hungry for food.
